I love this. It’s beautiful and dumb. I’ve always been intrigued by these movie interfaces. Like thick make-up really. Does the guy designing them actually have some real-life UI background? Or is he just fooling around? Probably the latter. Feels good to design this sort of thing every once in a while though… Alright, more similar goodness from here:

I just got back from beautiful Lisbon for a 3 day conference about design. We had some of the greatest current designers give us a whirl and a couple kicks in the balls. I feel pretty ashamed of how shallow most of my work is right now. I want to take things a level up and try to give a more thought to what i make. Stefan Sagmeister, as expected, was quite a highlight. Paula Sher was absolutly stunning. Robert L Peters made me want to go out a stencil the shit out of Brussels again. Digital Kitchen reminded me of a style i used to worship, and made me want to have another go at it in my personal work. PES was pretty ok, although i was surprised to see such a plain, borderline boring guy behind all that whackyness.
The venue was pretty lacking this year. Not much in terms of sweet eye candy. I got really sick of the hipster crowd. The first day i got there felt like a cool T-shirt contest of 3.500 pretty girls and boys - usually pretty unique in their coolness but hella bland in this setting. All bunched together with their cool raybans and reporter hats haha. Still, a lot of beatiful people there. Was good

Hi and welcome to my blog. Hopefully this area will grow in a healthy and steady way. I plan to blog about various stuff i like. Such as: Design in general (mostly web), gaming, game mechanics, geeky stuff i like and plain old fun movies or pictures. Hope you enjoy!
